    The story continues…

Well readers after I retrieved the tape, I did not say anything for the next week but I continued taping. The things I heard was enough to commit homicide, but yet I stayed. One day he stayed home for three days in a row, so I inquired “what’s wrong? are you sick?” I asked, he snapped “nothing I felt like taking a break” Eventually, I asked him what’s going at work? mind you I already knew what was going on. He said “what do you mean?” I said “well I have proof that you have been cheating on me and there was nothing you could say or do to refute the evidence I have” Then he looked at me as if I was crazy and started to laugh.

That threw me into a rage, a rage that was seriously frightening to me, (luckily for me my son was away that week) I started having shortness of breath and was shaking violently. He was panicked and got on the phone to call 911. After the paramedics got there they checked me out and asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital I declined and they left along with the police officers, yes the police came as well. Apparently they automatically show up when paramedics are called.

Well, I guess that was the distraction he needed because for the next week he was quiet, as a matter of fact we were both quiet. After my son came home I was sure that he felt the iciness in the house but he was busy with his siblings to keep him distracted. Later on that week I decided that It was time to deal with this issue. When my son left to go away to camp at the end of that week it was time to deal….TBC.

    More to the story!

    So continuing…..

I never thought that my relationship would end up like this. I was in love after-all, or that is what I thought. I mean there were lots of nights of endless pleasure, the physical passion was tremendous. However, in hind sight he never said he loved me unless he was in the throes of unbridled passion. He never said “I love you sweetheart or luv you honey” never any kind words or expressions of his feelings toward me. Yet I stayed. I remember the day when I found out that he was effing around. I felt it for a long time , but it was solidified when I taped his phone calls. This man was not only cheating on me, he was also two timing or three timing (depending on your own vernacular) the other woman. Come to think about it  is so funny now.  There she was on the phone begging him not to break them up, and there he was telling her that if she does not have anything nice to say he will be  hanging up on her. I mean the way he demeaned her it was almost sad, I said almost because she knew who I was yet she was begging him not to break them up. Well reader  it will all come to a head sooner than you think.( to be continued)- TBC….

I have been a relationship for 15.5 years with someone who I now realize that I detest. You might ask why I stayed, and my answer is that I thought that I was in love at that time. Now I know it was not that I was in love, I was in love with the thought of being in love. Before I met him I was married to a man who I thought was boring, but as it turned out he was the most thoughtful and caring man and the father of my son. I got divorced because I wanted more excitement in my life I found it for a while, then it fizzled after a few months. I put up with “baby mama drama” all in the name of love. I put up with him telling me that women are out to eff up men, still I stayed. I put up with let’s stay in tonight because “I want you all to myself” I baby sat with kids that was told that I am a witch and they should not eat anything I offered them. Then I got pregnant. I was pregnant with twins, with all the stress of the pregnancy I lost my daughter and had a son. Still I stayed. I know he was cheating, yet I stayed. I was in the house with the child so he know where I was at all times, I was unemployed and needed him, I had no place to stay, so I stayed. After my son turned nine months I found a job. I was a case worker, I worked with women in domestic situations. I was able to counsel them about their situation but yet I stayed when I was in practically the same position. I kept telling myself that my situation was not that bad. To be continued………

Your story is so compelling. I’m sure quite a few women can relate. I know I can, having been there myself, or at least somewhere similar. That feeling of being trapped in a bad relationship, needing to care for children, needing a job. Sounds like you came out of it okay. Good for you!

So the NOW government is trying to tell people especially those on food stamps, that they will be banned from using food stamps to buy sodas. How about telling the soda companies to stop making sodas? If people want to use their food stamps to buy soda let them after all is this not the “land of the free”?
